Service and learning appears to be an approach to experiential learning, an expression of values- service to others, community development and empowerment, reciprocal learning-which determines the purpose, nature and process of social and educational exchange between learners and the people they serve, and between experiential programs and the community organizations with which they work. (Timothy Stanton, 1987)

4) Objectives of MOVE Hearts:)
For every participant in the team:
a) - To be able to work in a team.
b) To use communication and effective dialogues to bring across ideas and thoughts to others.
c) To learn something (at least one thing) about ourselves.
d) To be willingly woken up from comfort zone of doing things we like/ leading a life which is smooth sailing.
e) To create breakthroughs for personal development.
f) To make more friends (local and international) and forge a new chain of friendship.
g) To learn more about others’ cultures.
a) To bring joy to the children whom we will be working with.
b) - To encourage Vietnamese youth to learn/do something which will benefit their own community during the project itself/after we have gone back to Singapore.
c)To motivate caregivers to do more for the children instead of just feeding and baby sitting them.
