MINI BRAINSTORM (3/5/2010)

Thank you everyone for coming down on your precious Saturday for our small group meeting.

Due to the excessive amount of information generated, I decided to upload a summary of each discussion.

Finance:
- Sponsorship letter to be churned out asap
- To go through MR for vetting before sending out to the different organizations
- Sponsorship letter to be accompanied with ppt slides

1. POSTCARDS
- 1000 pieces of 4 different designs
- Double sided
- Size: A6
- est. 40 cents each (cost price)
- Logos and sponsors included at the back of the postcards

2. T-SHIRTS
- Quantity: est. 100
- Design suggestions
• typography style
• 1 common design and mass produce
• single colour design
• front design with logo at the back of the t-shirt

3. FOOD
- Cookies and Brownies
• Mothers’ Day suggestion (TBC)
  } taking orders from friends through facebook
  } 2 choices for production
     > order from factories/school (Metta school)/Qiuyi’s friend and sell them at higher price
     > produce ourselves (backup plan)
*Metta School is a special school, located at Simei, which does some bakery by their students*
  } set a quota for Mothers’ Day (to prevent large number of orders coming in as we have limited labour)

Information for/from Poly (during seeking for permission)
• We are working on a charity project, collaborating with Mercy Relief
• Things we will be selling (mentioned above)
• We will be setting up booth around 3rd or 4th week of May
• Are we allowed to publicize the booth (such as pasting posters around the school)?
• Location of the booth
• Do we need to pay for setting up a booth? If yes, how much?
• Is there any bazaar or carnival that we can join in during that period of time?
• Are we allowed to sell food? (ask when we mention about the items we are selling)

Questions for tee printing
• How much will it cost to print est. 100 tee of single colour (front back)?
• How long will it take for them to produce these 100 tee?
• How many colours are there for the tees?
• What are the different sizes?
